Logistics Manager
Salary
CAD $85,000 – $120,000 annually
Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee inbound and outbound transportation activities to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of raw materials and finished products.
- Manage warehouse operations, including inventory control, storage, shipping, receiving, and distribution activities.
- Supervise warehouse personnel by assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and supporting employee development.
- Develop and implement logistics strategies to improve operational efficiency and reduce transportation costs.
- Negotiate contracts and maintain relationships with transportation providers, freight carriers, and logistics partners.
- Monitor inventory levels through regular audits, stock reconciliation, and demand forecasting to maintain optimal inventory availability.
- Coordinate closely with production, procurement, and operations teams to ensure uninterrupted material flow.
- Analyze logistics performance metrics and recommend process improvements to strengthen supply chain operations.
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations, company policies, and transportation standards.
- Prepare logistics reports, shipping documentation, inventory records, and operational performance reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of logistics, warehouse management, or supply chain management experience.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management, transportation planning, warehouse operations, and distribution systems.
- Experience with ERP systems, inventory management software, or warehouse management systems is considered an asset.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and team management abilities.
